Aerospace Connectivity is the leading supplier of Flexcomm
multi-band, airborne, FM/AM, analog and digital radio communication systems for
the public safety and industrial markets. Cobham designs and manufactures
a complete suite of Cobham FliteLine Nav/Com products for the corporate
aviation, military trainer, commuter airline, and helicopter markets.
Cobham's Flexcomm communication systems can be configured to support all
conventional FM/AM channel frequencies from 29.7 MHz to 960 MHz plus multiple
analog and digital P 25 compatible transceivers in the VHF-Hi, UHF-Lo, UHF-Hi,
700/800 MHz FM bands. To fully support rotor and fixed wing aircraft in law enforcement,
fire control, medical evacuation, search and rescue, oil exploration, electronic news-gathering
and military applications, the system configuration options include multiple encryption
standards, relay, repeater, simulcast operational modes, remote or panel mounted transceivers,
slaved/master or dual control units, monochrome or color displays, standard or NVG compatible
control units.
Cobham's FliteLine Nav/Com System can be configured with VHF Comm (8.33 or 25 kHz channeling,
118-152 MHz), VOR, ILS Localizer and Glideslope, Marker Beacon, DME, Mode S Transponder, ADF,
standard or NVG compatible discrete color LCD controls, and a Radio Management Unit. The system
includes both ARINC 429 digital interfaces as well as conventional analog interfaces to support
new or retrofit installations.
