QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
SUMMARY

Responsible for the management and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that facility quality standards are met for the Quality Management System. Oversees auditing processes and the resolution of facility quality problems. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty (or equivalent experience) and at least 6 years of experience department supervision . Familiar with a variety of QA management concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Supervises the work of QA personnel. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assure AS9100 Quality System Audits are regularly scheduled and performed
Maintenance of the training materials for Plant Wide Employee QMS training
Create, Review and Modify Quality Management Procedures
Delivery of the Plant-Wide Employee QMS training
Assure Company Metric Data is produced and presented
Provide for Employee ESD Training
Coordinate Data Analysis for Manufacturing Yield and Product Returns
Oversee Product and Workstation Audits
Coordinate Statistical Studies and Analysis
Oversee Company Conformity Evaluations
Oversee Calibration Control
Oversee Prototype Evaluations
Oversee Test Fixture Certification and Asset # recording and placement
Assure Customer Surveys are Addressed
Oversee the control of QMS records
Oversee Company Stamp Audits
Host External Audits of the Wulfsberg Quality Management System
Coordinate Internal and External Corrective Action System
Assures Supplier Audits are scheduled and performed
Others as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • Detailed knowledge of Quality systems (AS9100 or ISO9001) and quality technique
  • Practical knowledge of Statistical Quality Methods (MSA, DOE, SPC, CPK, Mean, Std Deviation.)
  • Knowledge of document numbering systems
  • Able to operate a computer workstation
  • Able to read and write in the English language and conversant in quality technical language
  • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year College Degree or (2 years operational experience at a technician level equivalent to 1 year of college). The 4 years of College can be a mix of college credits and experience
  • 6 years of experience in technical or manufacturing department supervision.
  • Professional certifications preferred (SME, ASQ, APICS)

      DIRECTOR OF MATERIALS
    SUMMARY
    Directly responsible for all production planning and control, and procurement activities. In summary responsible for the entire supply chain with the exception of pure production activity (assembly and test), which is the responsibility of the Director of Manufacturing. In addition to this operational role the Director will also be expected to contribute to the definition and implementation of Wulfsberg’s business strategy.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Business processes: Responsible for the definition, management and continuous improvement of all demand management processes, from production planning through to procurement. This will include annual production planning, master production scheduling, work instruction release to production areas, all triggers of material flow to and from production, supplier selection and the negotiation and establishment of long term supply agreements and contracts with suppliers. Also responsible for the definition and control of all inventory (consignment stock, pre-process, line-side and finished goods stock). As a member of the senior management team will also be expected to contribute to the definition and implementation of Wulfsberg’s business strategy, and to provide specific input on sourcing/make/buy strategies as well as make proposals for the further transformation of the demand management processes.
    • People: Responsible for the definition, selection and development of the Materials team. This includes definition of individual roles and responsibilities, the setting of clear objectives for each and the appraisal, development and monitoring of individual and team performance.
    • Metrics: The Director will be set clear objectives and measured on a number of metrics, these will include due date performance, material cost of sales/purchase price and inventory value. Objectives and metrics will be developed and agreed with the General Manager.

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
    The Director of Materials will be a member of the senior management team, and as such will be expected to build strong relationships with all members of the senior team, in addition to members of his/her own team and key suppliers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education: Requires a 4 year college degree, masters preferred but not required. Qualifications in a technical discipline is a plus but not required. Detailed knowledge of the principles of demand management and lean manufacturing are required. Computer literate.
    • Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience or equivalent, coupled with leading the implementation of change and the achievement of quantifiable success. Experience in the electronics, automotive or aerospace industries is a plus. Candidates with exceptional practical knowledge and experience in demand management and lean manufacturing but with less than 5 years management experience will also be considered.
    • Physical Demands: Domestic and international travel will be required. Able to use a PC with standard keyboard and mouse.

      SR. PRINCIPAL RF/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER: Lead team of RF and electrical engineers in the design of VHF communication and navigation radios, AM and FM Tactical Radios.
     
      PRINCIPAL RF ENGINEER: Design of RF analog and DSP designs for VHF communication, VHF navigation radios, AM and FM Tactical Radios. Principal RF/Electrical Engineer - Support design and integration of radio products, control displays, antennas and other avionics.
     
      SOFTWARE ENGINEER: The Software Engineer will work in a team environment to develop embedded avionics communication software, including Tactical Radios, Mode S Transponders & commercial NAV/COM radios. Candidates will be working with such products during all phases of the lifecycle. Candidates must possess a good understanding of software and hardware integration. Familiarity with the FAA certification of software is a plus. Experience with DSP a definite plus. Willing to train the appropriate candidate. Must have excellent C/C++ programming skills. Strong design & architecture experience needed. Experience working in embedded environment and integrating with Hardware and other systems is a plus. Must be able to understand and operate lab test equipment. BSEE, BSCS or equivalent.
       
      SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER: Support design and integration of radio products, control displays, and other avionics.
     
      SR. PRINCIPAL DIGITAL ENGINEER: Lead team of FPGA and microprocessor engineers in digital/DSP design engineering of radios, control displays and databus products.
     
      FPGA/DIGITAL ENGINEER: Verilog and VHDL programming of digital/DSP designs for digital radio products, control displays and databus products.
